Qualifications

• Some high school education is required.
• Previous operations experience is preferred.
• Applicants must be willing to obtain any local or municipal food safety credentials, such as a Food Handler certificate, at their own expense.

Working conditions and physical demands

This position involves working in a fast-moving restaurant environment where temperatures can be hot due to steam and food vapors. Work areas may be tight, and employees are generally expected to stand for long periods. The role includes preparing both hot and cold foods, using Chinese kitchen knives and other equipment, and maintaining accuracy while working quickly. Employees may need to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for up to four hours, and reach across 36-inch counters to serve customers. Kitchens may be noisy, storage may be limited, and shelving may be high. Strong verbal communication, adaptability, and the ability to handle conflict or difficult situations are important.
