About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Tech Lead specializing in Embedded Linux, Java, and Python to lead QA efforts for a major IoT project. The role focuses on end-to-end validation and quality assurance across device, cloud, and mobile application layers. The candidate will be instrumental in driving technology initiatives, providing leadership, and ensuring high-standard delivery of solutions in a cross-functional team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive IoT system testing covering device, cloud, and mobile app workflows ensuring data accuracy and reliable communication.
- Validate cloud services on Azure platform, including performance, scalability, and CI/CD deployment testing.
- Conduct thorough REST API testing and integration validation across device-to-cloud and cloud-to-app interfaces.
- Lead mobile app testing for both Android and iOS platforms involving functional, regression, and usability tests.
- Design test cases and validation strategies, execute various levels of testing, and analyze defects to identify root causes.
- Contribute to automation efforts using Python scripting and support transition toward automation frameworks and CI integrations.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong manual testing expertise with end-to-end system validation experience in IoT environments.
- Proven ability in IoT testing including device, cloud, and app integration.
- Hands-on REST API testing skills and debugging capability.
- Experience with cloud testing, preferably on Azure, focusing on deployment and load conditions.
- Proficiency in Python scripting for test automation along with exposure to frameworks such as Selenium.
- Mobile application testing experience on both Android and iOS platforms.
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools like JIRA.
- Understanding of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), Selenium, and Appium automation tools.
Additional Valuable Skills
- Knowledge of integration testing across distributed systems.
- Basic SQL skills for data validation and database interactions.
- Experience with performance/scalability testing in cloud or IoT contexts.
- Familiarity with IoT communication protocols and device connectivity.
- Skills in log analysis and debugging for cloud or device-level issues.
Educational and Certification Details
Candidates should hold a degree such as a Bachelor's in Engineering or equivalent technical field. Certifications like Certified Embedded Systems Engineer (CESE) and Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) are desirable but optional.

The role requires immediate availability or a notice period up to 30 days. This position is based in Noida, India, and reporting onsite is expected.
