Role Overview
We are hiring a seasoned Senior Manager for Supply Chain to own the full supply chain lifecycle in a manufacturing setup. The position covers procurement, strategic sourcing, material planning, inventory oversight, warehousing, and logistics, with responsibility across both execution and strategy.
This is a practical, on-the-ground leadership role suited to someone with deep procurement and vendor management expertise, plus hands-on manufacturing planning experience. The scope may include leadership of both procurement and planning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct day-to-day operations across procurement, strategic sourcing, material planning, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics.
- Lead supplier shortlisting, qualification, commercial negotiations, and initiatives that lower costs.
- Build and roll out sourcing plans that strengthen supplier reliability, protect supply continuity, and improve efficiency.
- Oversee demand forecasting, supply planning, production planning, and material planning to keep manufacturing runs on track.
- Maintain healthy inventory levels while supporting uninterrupted production and service performance.
- Handle contract discussions, supplier scorecards and reviews, and programmes to develop vendor capability.
- Manage ERP/MRP planning tools, forecasting workflows, and inventory control practices.
- Work closely with teams in production, engineering, operations, finance, and quality.
- Sponsor continuous improvement efforts aimed at reducing costs, streamlining processes, tightening inventory control, and improving supply chain performance.
- Guide, coach, and develop teams across procurement, planning, and warehouse functions.
Requirements
- A degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a similar field.
- 8 to 10 years of supply chain experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong exposure to manufacturing, industrial, precision engineering, electronics, semiconductor, or medical device environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in procurement and strategic sourcing.
- Proven ability in vendor selection and supplier negotiation.
- Solid experience in cost reduction and supplier development.
- Background in material planning and/or production planning.
- Working knowledge of inventory management.
- Experience with demand planning and supply planning.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations.
- Hands-on use of ERP and MRP systems.
- A strong record of driving supplier negotiations, cost savings, and procurement process improvement.
- Experience supervising planning teams or managing manufacturing planning work is strongly preferred.
- Well-developed stakeholder management and people leadership abilities.
Compensation
The role offers a monthly salary of SGD 8,000 to SGD 9,000, along with performance-based bonuses.
