Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our team onsite in Doha, Qatar, for a contract duration of one year. The ideal candidate will have over five years of professional experience, specializing in .NET and .NET Core development with cloud technologies, particularly Azure. This role involves leading key projects and collaboratively working in an agile environment to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-native applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop scalable, secure cloud-native applications using modern technologies.
- Create microservices APIs and dynamic web applications.
- Implement serverless functions and logic apps to support event-driven integrations and processes.
- Lead development efforts across multiple key projects.
- Collaborate with solution architects and analysts to gather and understand application and website requirements.
- Develop solutions adhering to functional and technical specifications and organizational standards.
- Upgrade and modernize existing .NET and SharePoint applications to current cloud-based technologies.
- Deploy websites, applications, and programs using automated DevOps and cloud service processes.
- Document software and application operating procedures.
- Work closely with the QA team to uphold product quality standards through thorough testing.
- Write reusable libraries and maintain high-quality code standards.
- Participate in structured walkthroughs, provide system reviews, and assist with training and support.
- Manage functional application procedures, including Master Data Management monitoring for ministry applications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in .NET development, including at least 2 years with .NET Core and Azure cloud technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio, Entity Framework, unit testing, and C# programming.
- Experience with SharePoint application development and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of front-end technologies including React JS or Angular (minimum 2 years or 2 projects), JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, AJAX, jQuery, DHTML, and mobile web technologies.
- Working understanding of API design, RESTful services, JSON, and service-oriented architectures (SOA).
- Proficiency in SQL Server programming, particularly T-SQL and writing optimized stored procedures.
- Experience administering IIS 7+ in production environments.
- Familiarity with authentication frameworks and protocols such as OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SAML, and Azure Active Directory.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with DevOps practices and DevSecOps in multi-developer agile teams.

Additional Information
The position requires close coordination with various teams to ensure application standards and quality, and maintaining application management processes, particularly for ministry-related applications. The contract duration is for one year with onsite presence mandatory in Qatar.
