Senior QA Analyst

About the role

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Asia Pacific is looking for a Senior QA Analyst to support quality assurance work in a sustainability-focused, innovation-led environment. Key responsibilities

• Review BAU change requests, user stories, and fixes to understand how testing will be affected.
• Work closely with business analysts and subject matter experts to clear up any requirement gaps or ambiguities.
• Create and run test scenarios and test cases for functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Cover critical business areas, including Billing, Sales and Pricing, and Meter Data Management.
• Carry out manual testing, verify end-to-end process flows, and check that acceptance criteria are met.
• Record defects, monitor them through resolution, retest fixes, and support defect triage discussions.
• Share testing progress, issues, and risk updates with relevant stakeholders.
• Keep regression test suites up to date and assist with production validation during releases.
• Help assess opportunities for automation and follow established testing standards.

Required experience and skills

• Strong background in functional testing, including test analysis, execution, and closure activities.
• Practical experience in the utilities domain, especially Billing, Sales and Pricing, and MDM.
• Hands-on familiarity with test management tools such as JIRA and Zephyr.
• Good understanding of data models and integration testing concepts.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, including working with offshore teams.
• Experience in Agile, hybrid, and BAU or steady-state testing environments.
