About the Role

AECOM, a global leader in infrastructure consulting, invites applications for a Senior Project Manager position specializing in aviation projects, based primarily in Dublin. This position involves working onsite four days per week with one day allowed for remote work. The role is integral to the management and delivery of large-scale building, terminal, airfield, and civil infrastructure projects across full project lifecycles within a multidisciplinary consultancy setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams through all project phases including inception, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closure.
  • Manage the coordination and interface resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain and update Responsible / Accountable / Consulted / Informed (RACI) matrices.
  • Coordinate technical teams, design consultants, and external service providers.
  • Organize design review meetings and communicate design approvals and modifications to contractors and project stakeholders.
  • Provide monthly progress reporting and manage project risk registers, updating regularly during meetings.
  • Identify and propose enhancements to project management processes, procedures, and templates.
  • Apply performance management strategies and oversee change control processes.
  • Facilitate effective communication flow between project teams and clients, ensuring stakeholder engagement.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 15 years in construction and infrastructure sectors with significant experience in aviation projects or other complex, operationally live infrastructure environments.
  • Deep understanding of safety, operational, and stakeholder management within active airport settings.
  • Hands-on experience managing on-site project delivery.
  • Proven expertise in constructing and implementing project management frameworks and standards.
  • Strong track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards.
  • Client-side project management experience to effectively represent contracting entities.
  • Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across organizations to enhance governance and project outcomes.
  • Extensive experience using NEC Suite contracts in various capacities (client, contractor, or subcontractor).
