Senior Product Manager, Payments

About the Role

This position, based in Saudi Arabia and offered through a partner company, invites an experienced Senior Product Manager to spearhead payment product strategy and execution impacting merchants and consumers worldwide. The role demands leadership in a crucial payment domain where dependability, trust, and smooth user interaction are paramount.

Primary Responsibilities

• Set and lead the product vision, priorities, and measurable success outcomes for a vital payments segment.
• Enhance experiences for merchants and shoppers over key payment touchpoints such as onboarding, checkout, refunds, disputes, payouts, and reporting, while ensuring system reliability.
• Continuously optimize to minimize friction points, boost product quality, diminish support needs, and foster user confidence.
• Leverage data analytics, customer input, support trends, and business indicators to make informed prioritization and product decisions.
• Partner with payment providers to improve integrations, manage dependencies, and solve operational and technical issues.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to resolve complex challenges balancing user needs, technical limits, and business goals.
• Ensure alignment with key stakeholders via clear documentation, progress updates, risk management, and transparent decision-making processes.
• Draft and maintain comprehensive product documentation including requirements, workflows, briefs, and technical details throughout the product lifecycle.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in product management with significant experience owning complex products or domains, preferably as a senior contributor.
• At least 4 years of background in payments, fintech, or related financial technology sectors, working on large-scale products.
• Proven success leading cross-functional projects with strong prioritization, communication, and execution abilities.
• Excellent product intuition with capacity to make sound decisions amid ambiguity.
• Expertise in building high-trust, mission-critical systems demanding reliability and solid user trust.
• Strong technical collaboration skills, including understanding engineering challenges and balancing tradeoffs in product design.
• Data-driven mindset with experience using metrics, dashboards, and experimentation to inform product choices.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication, especially suited for remote and asynchronous environments.
• Knowledge of open-source ecosystems, commerce platforms, or related tech fields is advantageous.
