Role overview
EPPSA (Envases y Productos Plásticos), a plastics-industry company with more than 65 years of experience, is looking for a driven and detail-focused Senior Procurement Specialist for packaging sourcing. The position is remote, based in Texas, and is offered on a full-time basis.
The role centers on finding, assessing, and managing suppliers so the company can secure competitive pricing, dependable quality, and timely deliveries. You will partner closely with procurement and operations teams to improve the supply base and support a stronger, more resilient supply chain.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate, shortlist, and validate suppliers from a range of industries.
- Lead commercial discussions with vendors to secure better pricing, contract terms, and overall savings.
- Build and sustain productive supplier partnerships.
- Track supplier performance and confirm adherence to quality standards and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with purchasing, production, and logistics teams to ensure sourcing plans match business requirements.
- Analyze market conditions and suggest approaches for cost reduction and risk control.
- Help roll out sourcing best practices and streamline procurement-related processes.
Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles; experience in plastics, packaging, or industrial environments is preferred.
- Strong capability in negotiation and vendor relationship management.
- Working knowledge of multiple markets, including agriculture, automotive, and pharmaceuticals.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to analyze information effectively.
- Self-driven mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Experience with procurement software, ERP systems, or sourcing tools is an advantage.
