About the Role
We seek a seasoned Senior Procurement Manager to lead procurement governance and strategic sourcing efforts across Atome Financial's regional operations. This position acts as a strategic partner to the COO, Finance, and other business teams to supervise procurement activities across various markets. The role ensures that procurement operations are commercially prudent, well-regulated, and compliant with Group policies and specific regulatory frameworks of each country.
As the primary line of defense against procurement and vendor risks, this role demands independent oversight to identify control weaknesses, fortify governance frameworks, and embed effective controls throughout the procurement lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and govern regional procurement operations ensuring compliance with Group standards and country-specific regulations.
- Function as the first defense to detect and manage procurement, vendor, and third-party risks by identifying gaps and implementing mitigations.
- Manage procurement processes, including sourcing, RFQs/RFPs, vendor evaluation, negotiation, contract management, and renewals.
- Review procurement proposals and vendor selection procedures to assure governance, documentation accuracy, segregation of duties, and approval compliance.
- Collaborate with COO, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and business teams to advise on procurement choices and mitigate operational and commercial risks.
- Maintain visibility on country-specific procurement requisites, regulatory demands, and local practices across markets.
- Track procurement expenditure, vendor performance, and budget use to identify potential areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Assist with internal and external audits ensuring procurement processes are well documented with robust audit trails.
- Promote continual advancement of procurement policies, controls, workflows, and vendor governance frameworks regionally.
- Deliver reporting and analytics to senior leadership highlighting procurement results, risks, exceptions, and critical issues.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, or a similar field.
- 8 to 10 years of procurement experience, preferably within financial services, fintech, banking, technology, or other heavily regulated sectors.
- Extensive expertise in procurement governance, strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiation and third-party risk oversight.
- Demonstrated ability to manage procurement across multiple countries or regional operations, understanding local procurement and regulatory nuances.
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk management, approval processes, and governance mechanisms.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills collaborating with senior leaders from COO, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and business units.
- Experience working effectively within fast-moving, multi-region, matrixed organizations is highly desired.
