This role is based at Keelings Farms, St. Margaret's, Co. Dublin, requiring applicants to have their own car and a full driving licence for commuting.
Role Purpose
The Senior HR Administrator will offer extensive guidance, advice, and support on all HR matters to managers and employees. They will assist the head of people with HR initiatives and projects, supporting the HR strategy for the Farms. Although working closely with the Group HR Department, the individual will be located in the Soft Fruit Farms office.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for operational HR queries, delivering excellent service aligned with employment law and company policies.
- Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary processes.
- Conduct investigations into complaints and grievances ensuring fairness and legal compliance.
- Deliver induction training for new hires, conduct check-ins, and manage exit interviews.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases in compliance with GDPR.
- Create and issue employment contracts.
- Ensure personnel files are current, managing documents such as medical certificates, appraisals, contracts, references, and background clearances.
- Coordinate with international agencies and internal teams on staffing needs.
- Facilitate internal staff forums, ensuring follow-up actions and feedback.
- Inform relevant departments of personnel changes throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Administer employee benefits and manage occupational health reviews per company policy.
- Drive absence management and performance review procedures across Farms.
- Monitor the performance management process and maintain related records.
- Assist with wellness activities planning and delivery alongside the Farms Operations Manager.
- Liaise with Payroll and Planning teams regarding employee status changes.
- Prepare reports on attendance, sick leave, headcounts, and probation reviews.
- Manage resignation acknowledgments, exit interviews, and data tracking.
- Perform other duties as directed by management.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a dynamic HR administrative role.
- Expertise in conducting investigations and disciplinary hearings.
- Comprehensive and current knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with initiative and high integrity handling confidential information.
- Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
- Legal right to work in Ireland.
Desirable Attributes
- Attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
Educational Credentials
- HR qualification or actively pursuing one.
- CIPD accreditation preferred.
