Across its brands, the company emphasizes sustainability, including Greenguard Gold–certified cribs, FSC-certified wood where possible, and packaging innovations that reduce Styrofoam use while still protecting products in transit.
The company places a strong emphasis on its people and partners, guided by values centered on respect, meaningful impact, great customer experiences, continuous learning, and thoughtful communication. Its culture has been recognized with multiple workplace awards, a strong Glassdoor rating, and long-term growth recognition through the Inc. 5000 list.
About the Role
This opening is for a Senior Graphic Designer to join the Marketing team. The role calls for someone with a strong creative perspective and experience building brands that stand out culturally, not just visually. You should bring strong taste, the ability to shape creative direction, and the confidence to help raise the design standard for the team.
The position blends brand storytelling, hands-on design execution, and creative leadership. You will create visual assets across digital, social, email, retail, and related channels while learning each brand deeply enough to extend and strengthen its guidelines. The work spans Babyletto, Namesake, and daVinci Baby, with each brand requiring a distinct visual approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute a clear and well-developed creative perspective on every assignment, helping shape how the brands are perceived in culture.
- Create high-quality campaign and storytelling visuals for digital ads, social channels such as Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, and YouTube, email, websites, and retailer platforms.
- Use motion design, animation, and GIFs to enhance storytelling across channels.
- Guide, support, and review the work of junior and mid-level designers while helping improve overall team craft and brand understanding.
- Work closely with Brand and Brand Activation teammates to produce campaigns that support both creative goals and business outcomes.
- Build strong fluency in each brand’s voice, positioning, and visual identity, protecting creative consistency across touchpoints.
- Design with performance in mind by understanding key metrics such as ROAS, reach, CTR, thumb stop rate, and site traffic, then applying those learnings to refine creative work.
- Champion the use of AI tools by testing new solutions, creating faster production workflows, and sharing best practices with the team.
- Stay informed on culture, design, and emerging brands, and bring fresh visual references and opinions into the work.
- Edit photo and video assets for use on social platforms, websites, and retail partner channels.
- Produce print and marketing collateral when needed, including mood boards, trade show signage, posters, brochures, merchandise, and presentation decks.
- Handle several projects at once across multiple brands, communicate progress clearly, and meet deadlines reliably.
- Collaborate with an overseas creative team to keep deliverables aligned with brand standards and messaging.
- Act as a positive, collaborative presence who others can rely on for taste, direction, and high standards.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of practical experience building brands in an agency, in-house, or mixed environment.
- A portfolio that demonstrates variety, strong judgment, and a distinct creative point of view.
- Strong command of design fundamentals, including composition, color, typography, and hierarchy.
- Advanced ability with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, and After Effects, plus Figma.
- Working familiarity with Canva and Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience creating visuals for web, mobile, and tablet environments.
- Comfort and curiosity around AI-driven creative tools such as generative image tools, AI video, and automation workflows.
- Solid understanding of social media and digital video platforms, along with what performs well on each.
- Strong conceptual ability and the confidence to explain, defend, and execute ideas.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to give and receive feedback effectively.
- Experience mentoring or leading other designers.
- A proactive, problem-solving approach that turns limitations into creative opportunities.
- Genuine interest in design, interiors, and visual culture.
- A collaborative, curious, and positive attitude focused on producing work you can stand behind.
Compensation and Benefits
The California pay range for this role is USD 90,000 to USD 110,000 per year.
- Employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance premiums at 100%.
- Flexible paid time off to support work-life balance.
- 401(k) with company matching.
- Vacation reimbursement plus wellness and enrichment subsidy programs.
- Tuition reimbursement.
- Matching charitable donations to a nonprofit of your choice.
- Monthly company celebrations with lunch provided.
- Dog-friendly workplace.
- Free company swag and a generous employee discount on products.
Diversity, Inclusion, and Accommodations
The company welcomes candidates from all backgrounds and supports diversity, inclusion, and equity through its internal committee. The committee focuses on areas such as hiring, community involvement, and ongoing education on diversity, inclusion, and equity.
The company also provides reasonable accommodations for qualified applicants with disabilities during the job application and recruitment process.
