Senior Financial Analyst

Job Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst is a crucial contributor to financial planning, analysis, compliance, and strategic decision-making aimed at enhancing financial performance. This role collaborates with multiple business units to produce forecasts, budgets, and long-term plans, ensuring senior leadership stays updated on operational results and significant developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate the financial planning and analysis activities to align with company objectives.
• Develop, manage, and maintain budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans with business partners.
• Verify the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend corrective actions to sustain a strong control framework.
• Analyze trends to highlight risks, identify opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to meet financial goals.
• Lead projects to deliver insightful evaluations of operational performance.
• Implement and enhance process improvements, optimize financial analysis workflows, and document existing procedures.
• Offer technical guidance, mentorship, and training to indirect reports and other teams to promote collaboration and associate engagement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree minimum educational requirement.
• Between three to five years of relevant experience in finance roles.
• Strong technical competency, including familiarity with SAP, Power BI, Tableau, and other data visualization platforms; experience with MFP and One Stream is beneficial.
• Demonstrated leadership with curiosity and a proactive approach to complex challenges and shifting priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, especially in connecting different business units to foster learning and enhance outcomes.
• Background or experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Retail Financial Planning & Analysis is preferred.

Additional Information

This position is a 12-month contract role based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, requiring full-time onsite presence.
