Role Overview

This senior-level product leadership position involves setting and driving the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of key AI and Data Platform capabilities in India. The role requires high independence as the senior regional product voice, collaborating closely with global engineering and product leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for Fabric, AI & Data Governance, and Capacity & Cost Intelligence.
• Conduct in-depth customer and market research to uncover critical issues and convert them into scalable platform features.
• Create detailed product requirements, including PRDs, user stories, and success metrics, to guide engineering teams toward efficient and accurate delivery.
• Facilitate cross-functional coordination among Engineering, Architecture, Go-to-Market, and Customer Success teams.
• Represent the product leadership for India within the globally distributed organization.
• Enhance product management quality by mentoring and coaching product managers in the India team.

• Strong stakeholder alignment on a global scale and smooth execution across time zones.
• Improved metrics related to product adoption, platform usage, and customer confidence.
• Elevated product management skills and consistent creation of high-quality product documentation in the India team.

Collaborations

• Work with a globally distributed Product and Engineering team across India and the US.
• Partner with engineering leaders, architects, and platform teams developing Teradata’s AI & Data Platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Go-to-Market, Pricing, and Customer Success.
• Influence and mentor a growing community of product managers in India.

Candidate Profile

• Over 12 years of product management experience, especially with enterprise data platforms, cloud infrastructure, or AI/ML tooling.
• Proven success owning comprehensive product portfolios from strategy through execution and iterative improvements.
• Strong technical expertise in modern data architectures such as data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses, streaming, and hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and coordinate alignment in complex, matrixed global organizations.
• Experience in mentoring product managers, raising overall team proficiency.

Desired Expertise

• Knowledge of data governance, financial operations (FinOps), or platform instrumentation and analytics.
• Familiarity with tools like Collibra, Alation, Apache Atlas, or cloud cost management frameworks.
• Understanding of open data formats such as Iceberg, Delta, and Hudi, and cloud-native analytics services.
• Strong comprehension of enterprise SaaS/PaaS business models, including consumption-based pricing strategies.
• Experience with AI/ML platform components such as MLOps, feature stores, or large language model infrastructure.
• Background working in large engineering centers in India.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA is preferred.
