Senior Data & AI Architect

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data and AI Architect based in Doha, Qatar, with over 12 years of professional experience to lead and design enterprise data solutions primarily in banking or financial services sectors.

Key Responsibilities and Experience

• Possess between 7 to 10 years of proven expertise in Data Architecture, Enterprise Data Management, or Data Engineering, ideally within the finance or banking domain.
• Demonstrate deep understanding of enterprise data architecture concepts including data modeling, integration strategies, and implementing data governance frameworks.
• Be well-versed with contemporary data technologies such as data warehouses, data lakehouses, ETL/ELT processes, and analytics platforms.
• Have a clear grasp of AI and Machine Learning data ecosystems, their data requirements, and principles governing Responsible AI.
• Experience in assessing and reviewing architecture designs that span on-premises, cloud infrastructures, and hybrid setups.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in areas like Data Governance, Data Quality management, Metadata oversight, and compliance with regulatory data mandates.
• Exhibit strong analytical skills, architectural design capabilities, and efficient stakeholder engagement.
• Working experience in GCC or Qatar banking environments is highly advantageous.
• Professional certifications such as TOGAF, DAMA, CDMP, or related cloud architecture credentials are preferred.

Selection and Evaluation Criteria

• Assessment will focus on relevance and depth in Data Architecture, Enterprise Data Management, and Data Engineering fields.
• Capability to design, implement, and manage enterprise-scale data platforms and integration frameworks effectively.
• Strong knowledge of governance disciplines including Data Quality, Metadata Management, Data Lineage, and corresponding architecture governance.
• Exposure to AI/ML technical governance and Responsible AI controls is important.
• Experience within the banking or financial services domain, specifically tied to GCC or Qatar markets, will be prioritized.
• Competence in collaborating across diverse teams including business, technology, risk, compliance, and governance stakeholders.
• Availability to engage promptly with time-sensitive project schedules.
