Role overview
This is a senior business development position with a major global luxury hotel group, focused on winning and growing B2B relationships with travel agencies and key tour operators. The aim is to position the hotel chain and its luxury brands as the preferred choice for clients booking leisure travel.
Key account focus
You will manage your own portfolio of travel agency accounts across a defined region, working within a wider European team that sits inside a global organisation. The work involves analysing account performance, understanding market share and room-night data, and using those insights to shape the sales approach for each agency.
What the job involves
The role is centred on building strong commercial relationships with front-line travel agents through both virtual and in-person contact. Activities include calls, webinars, training sessions, workshops, product presentations, trade shows, and hosted events. You will also tailor your contact plan and sales materials to encourage stronger awareness and higher sales of the group’s resorts and all-inclusive properties.
Working style and location
This is a remote role, but candidates must be based in Germany and able to reach an airport within one hour. Around 30% of the job involves travel for face-to-face meetings, territory events, trade shows, and visits to agents.
Team and reporting
You will work closely with a small team of five, including a Team Lead and Global Director, and take part in twice-weekly huddles to share progress, tactics, and performance. You will report on KPIs, data, and ROI, while senior management provides commercial direction and the team executes the agreed strategy.
Compensation
The salary is €75,000 plus bonus.
Requirements
Experience from either the hotel brand side or the travel agency sector is required. The ideal candidate should bring strong commercial judgement, analytical thinking, and confidence in presenting to clients.
Additional information
This opportunity is described as a close-knit remote team environment with some travel to support account growth and relationship building. The role is also referred to as Senior Business Relationship Manager.
