About Runway East
Runway East creates flexible office spaces that are designed to be anything but dull. Since 2014, the company has been building distinctive work environments in London, Bristol, and Brighton for teams ranging from 1 to 100 people. The brand is known for lively extras such as dogs on demand and its Friday drinks trolley. Runway East is also a certified B Corp, reflecting a commitment to positive impact for both people and the planet. With a strong brand and an established customer base, the company is looking to capitalise on the growing demand for flexible working.
Role Overview
As Senior Brand & Content Manager, you will lead the work that makes Runway East’s brand memorable, valuable, and distinct. You and your team will be responsible for growing the audience, supporting site launches, creating high-quality sales materials, and shaping the company’s brand presence. The role comes with budget ownership, support from a marketing executive, access to freelance talent, and the backing of 15 buildings and more than 8,000 collaborative members from some of the UK’s most exciting companies.
This position is based in London. The working pattern is 4 days per week in the HQ office and 1 day working from home or from an office of your choice. Applications will be reviewed in the week beginning 20 July, and first-round interviews are scheduled for the week beginning 27 July.
What You’ll Do
- Own the brand awareness and engagement approach across public channels such as social media and email, producing standout, social-first content that builds awareness, equity, engagement, and leads.
- Create and oversee polished assets throughout the customer journey, from website photography and case studies to post-tour pitch decks.
- Manage the CMS and keep location-specific materials accurate, including floorplans, photography, and office-specific emails or assets when required.
- Lead and coordinate 1–2 junior contractors, along with a wider pool of freelance designers, copywriters, and content creators.
- Handle the internal content queue by prioritising and coordinating ad hoc requests from the CCO, Head of Growth, and executive team.
- Support new site launches by ensuring all digital and physical content is delivered on time, aligned to brand, and able to generate impressions and leads.
- Act as the guardian of the brand guidelines, making sure the brand stays consistent across all touchpoints and that processes and systems support that consistency.
What We’re Looking For
- A strong dislike of average content and a drive to create work that stands out.
- A natural creative and editorial instinct, with a clear eye for what quality looks like across photography, copy, and short-form video.
- Hands-on experience turning creative ideas into finished content, whether through freelancers, direct reports, or your own work.
- A solid grasp of brand and product content strategy, including when to communicate with buyers and how to shape content across the full marketing lifecycle.
- Experience building and executing a content strategy from scratch, along with a track record of growing engaged audiences and managing a differentiated brand.
- Ability to produce product marketing materials that address buyer questions at different stages of the funnel.
- Strong project management skills that keep production moving on schedule.
- Proven experience recruiting, briefing, and managing freelance contributors.
- Confidence managing 1–2 junior marketers effectively.
- A sense of humour and a personality that fits a fast-moving, creative team.
Benefits
- 31 days of annual leave including bank holidays, plus one extra day for each year of service.
- Your birthday off, along with additional time off over Christmas.
- Private medical and dental cover, gym discounts, mental health support, and a Bike2Work scheme.
- A professional development budget, access to learning resources, and clear progression routes.
- Two paid days each year for charitable activities, plus team outings and annual overseas trips.
- Paid sick leave, compassionate leave, enhanced parental leave, and life insurance.
Inclusivity
Runway East values diversity and believes a mix of backgrounds, identities, and experiences makes the team stronger. People from all walks of life are encouraged to apply. If you need access support during the process, the team is happy to help.
Additional Information
The hiring process for this role is being run in stages. Applications will be reviewed in the week starting 20 July, and the first interviews will take place in the week starting 27 July.
The company works on a hybrid basis for this role: 4 days in the London HQ and 1 day from home or another location of your choosing.
