Role Overview
The Senior Barista role, based on-site in Vadodara, entails leading daily café operations and ensuring a stellar coffee experience for all patrons. The incumbent will be responsible for preparing and serving specialty coffee and beverages adhering to precise quality standards and managing food preparation according to the menu. Maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the café environment and its equipment is also essential. This position involves supervising and mentoring junior baristas, supporting the training of new hires, and guaranteeing recipe, presentation, and service consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee and other drinks following established quality standards.
- Oversee food preparation aligned with the café's menu offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café and equipment to meet hygiene standards.
- Guide and support junior baristas, assisting with training and development.
- Interact with customers, manage orders and payments, and address customer inquiries or concerns professionally.
- Help with inventory monitoring, stock rotation, and basic operational reporting to streamline café activities.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in customer engagement with strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with guests and resolve issues.
- Experienced as a barista specializing in espresso extraction, milk frothing, and modifying drinks to ensure superior product quality.
- Knowledgeable in food preparation and café hygiene, consistently upholding safety and cleanliness protocols.
- Prior experience working in café or restaurant environments, preferably in supervisory or senior barista roles.
- Capable of working flexible shifts, standing for prolonged durations, and handling busy periods without compromising service quality.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to delivering uniform quality and a positive customer experience.
- Basic numerical skills and proficiency with Point of Sale systems for accurate billing and cash handling.
- Passionate about coffee, eager to learn, and open to continuous skill enhancement and training.
