Senior Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant specializing in GST compliance, taxation, and overall accounting management. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of practical experience and the ability to independently oversee accounting and statutory compliance tasks. Prior exposure to the e-commerce sector is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit GST returns such as GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and other relevant filings.
• Conduct GST reconciliations and ensure adherence to GST regulations.
• Calculate, deduct, remit TDS, and file TDS returns timely.
• Handle accounting records including journal entries, ledger reviews, and bookkeeping.
• Compile and finalize financial statements along with management information system (MIS) reports.
• Perform reconciliations for bank, vendor, and customer accounts.
• Maintain precise financial records and books of accounts.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and governmental tax authorities effectively.
• Ensure punctual compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory obligations.
• Support senior management in financial planning, budget formulation, data analysis, and reporting.
• Stay abreast of latest changes in tax, GST, and accounting regulations.
• Manage daily accounting and compliance activities autonomously.

Candidate Profile

• Educational qualifications: B.Com, M.Com, CA Inter, or equivalent accounting credentials.
• Minimum of five years relevant industry experience.
• In-depth knowledge of GST, TDS, taxation rules, and accounting principles.
• Strong capability to work independently and take full responsibility for accounting tasks.
• Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in e-commerce accounting is preferable.
• Proficient with accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
