Security and Loss Prevention (SLP) Expert

About the Role

Join a dedicated team ensuring the safety and security of Amazon's vast operations network, known for its speed and precision in delivering millions of packages daily. As an SLP Expert, you will implement impactful security enhancements across assigned sites, contributing to safeguarding personnel and minimizing loss across the entire supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute security initiatives at site level aimed at process enhancements and operational optimization.
• Support business resilience by participating in emergency preparedness and crisis management planning for designated locations.
• Identify potential vulnerabilities relating to loss risks, employee experience, and processes while enforcing adherence to legal and Amazon’s global security policies.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement and industry groups, to manage security risks effectively.
• Manage Security and Loss Prevention projects across local, regional, and national scopes.

Daily Activities

Monitor security trends by analyzing data and performing thorough physical site audits. Investigate incidents involving policy breaches or losses by gathering evidence through systems monitoring and interviews. Recommend and implement corrective actions that strengthen site security. Liaise continuously with outside security vendors to ensure service quality and oversee budgets related to physical security infrastructure improvements. Facilitate security awareness training across various organizational levels and drive company-wide loss prevention strategies.

About the Team

Situated within Worldwide Operations Security, this team protects Amazon’s brand and business goals by mitigating risks that threaten employee safety, operational continuity, asset integrity, and reputation. They ensure the supply chain is secure end-to-end by proactively addressing vulnerabilities, intervening in incidents, and conducting investigative follow-ups to prevent recurrence.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
• Background in law enforcement or a security-related field.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook in a professional setting.
• Full fluency in English across reading, writing, and speaking.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in security services, asset protection, loss prevention, risk management, inventory control, investigations, supply chain, auditing, or compliance is highly regarded.
