Job Summary
We are seeking an SAP GTS (Global Trade Services) Consultant to join us in Bangalore, Chennai, or Hyderabad. This role includes designing, implementing, and supporting compliance solutions across customs, screening, product classification, and trade preferences within SAP S/4HANA or ECC systems. The consultant ensures seamless integration with logistics and finance modules while complying with international trade regulations.
Responsibilities
- Configure and implement SAP GTS modules such as Compliance, Customs, and Risk Management, managing embargo checks, SPL screening, customs declarations, and preference processing.
- Integrate SAP GTS with core SAP systems (SD, ECC, S/4HANA) and external platforms for efficient data exchange.
- Collect business requirements, create functional designs, and suggest process enhancements to improve trade operations.
- Diagnose and resolve system issues, manage support tickets, monitor system performance, and implement updates or improvements.
- Develop technical documentation, process guides, and conduct end-user training sessions.
- Ensure strict compliance with global trade regulations and assist with relevant audits.
- Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, legal teams, supply chain, and technical groups.
Qualifications and Skills
- Expertise in Compliance Management, Customs Procedures, Risk Management, Product Classification, Preferences, and Trade Agreements.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, and technical knowledge of ABAP components (BAPIs, BADIs, IDOCs, CDS), SPROXY, and Adobe Forms is advantageous for technical roles.
- Understanding of Sales & Distribution (SD), Logistics, and Supply Chain processes.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capability, effective communication, and teamwork skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage both technical teams and business users.
- SAP certification in related modules is a plus.
- Experience working in multi-system environments and with advanced SAP technologies.
