Role Overview

The Sales Account Manager (SAM) based in Singapore reports to the Head of Business Development for SEA & TW. The SAM's primary aim is to prospect and cultivate new client accounts alongside current ones, increase market penetration by executing targeted sales and marketing plans, and meet predefined sales and profitability objectives within Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve set sales and profit objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Help formulate and apply sales strategies for product/service lines, new markets, and emerging applications.
  • Collaborate with Sales/BD Managers and Technical Account Managers to secure business amidst competitive conditions.
  • Offer market insights and client feedback to Senior Management and Sales & Marketing teams.
  • Provide timely updates and formal reports to the line manager while tracking sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Penetrate new sectors including Industrial, Academic, and Government institutions with GenScript's offerings.
  • Promote business growth in coordination with the internal technical support team.
  • Establish a reference network to facilitate business development.
  • Engage channel partners and major clients to meet sales targets.

Candidate Qualifications

  • PhD or Master's degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or related fields.
  • Preferably at least one year of practical laboratory experience, with additional research expertise in molecular biology or life sciences considered advantageous.
  • A sound understanding of the Biological and CRO markets, focusing on areas such as Gene Synthesis, Protein, Peptide, BioAssay, Antibody, or Cell Line products.
  • Active engagement within life science professional networks.
  • Proficient communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work autonomously or in teams and thrive in a global business atmosphere.
  • Competent in forecasting sales accurately within the designated territory.
  • Strong self-drive and a competitive mindset to succeed.
