Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Safety Manager to oversee and ensure workplace health and safety compliance in line with all legal standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting and implementing health and safety policies and programs tailored to our operational needs, promoting a safety-focused culture, and reducing workplace risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce comprehensive health and safety plans in compliance with legal regulations.
• Prepare policies that foster a culture emphasizing health and safety within the organization.
• Assess existing practices, procedures, and infrastructure to identify risks and ensure adherence to applicable laws.
• Conduct training sessions and presentations focused on accident prevention and workplace safety.
• Regularly inspect employee activities and operational processes to monitor compliance with safety policies and laws.
• Review equipment and machinery to detect any unsafe conditions that could pose hazards.
• Investigate workplace incidents or accidents thoroughly to determine root causes and manage worker compensation claims appropriately.
• Recommend improvements, solutions, and preventative measures to address identified safety issues.
• Provide detailed reports on safety awareness, incident trends, and compliance statistics.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience as a safety manager or in a similar health and safety role.
• Strong knowledge of legal health and safety guidelines and regulations.
• Capability to create detailed reports and develop effective safety policies.
• Proficient in data analysis and risk evaluation techniques.
• Excellent organizational abilities coupled with motivational skills to engage staff in safety practices.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills.
• Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse groups.
• Preferred bachelor's degree in safety management or a related discipline.
• Valid professional certification in occupational health and safety is essential.
