Role Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining guest rooms and hotel spaces so that guests, associates, and vendors experience a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean bathrooms and room surfaces, including tubs, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floors, using the appropriate tools and cleaning products.
• Follow all cleaning steps and instructions related to the safe use of chemical agents.
• Remove used linens, remake beds, and replace bed coverings, including items that may weigh up to 50 lbs.
• Dust furniture, artwork, drawers, ledges, and shelving in a detailed manner.
• Vacuum the room, move supplies as needed, and clear out trash.
• Restock guest room amenities, linens, and other supplies.
• Check out keys, transport them to assigned rooms, restock and move a loaded housekeeping cart, inspect rooms for cleanliness and presentation, and mark the room as completed.
• Meet attendance expectations and remain available to work consistently on a regular schedule.
• Handle additional related tasks as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to scrub, scour, reach overhead, and work in tight or confined areas.
• Willingness to support teammates and contribute as part of a collaborative crew.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and operating housekeeping equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Capability to push and pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adjust communication style for supervisors, coworkers, and the public.

Compensation and Eligibility Notes

This role is not eligible for tipped/service charge pay and does not include a discretionary performance bonus.
