About the Role
This position as a Retail Store Supervisor at a Petro-Canada location in Penticton, British Columbia, requires the candidate to oversee store operations within a retail environment. The supervisor is responsible for coordinating employee activities to maintain efficient service, upholding store standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role demands onsite presence; remote work is not possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Delegate and assign duties to sales staff.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training team members.
- Approve financial transactions such as payments by cheque and merchandise returns.
- Engage in direct sales and customer service activities as needed.
- Compile and present reports on sales performance, merchandising activities, and human resource matters.
- Address and resolve customer requests, complaints, or supply-related issues as they arise.
- Organize inventory and ensure stock levels are appropriately maintained.
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the team, which may include 1 to 2 cashiers, retail salespersons, or sales clerks.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Fast-paced setting requiring work under pressure and adherence to tight deadlines.
- Physical work may involve carrying heavy items, extended periods of standing and walking, and alternating between sitting and movement.
