Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site position in Nagpur for a Retail Salesperson. The person in this role will greet shoppers, identify what they need, and suggest appropriate products while maintaining a strong understanding of the product range.
Key Duties
- Welcome customers and guide them through suitable product choices.
- Operate billing and point-of-sale systems for daily transactions.
- Keep shelves, displays, and merchandise arrangements neat and well stocked.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and presentable sales area.
- Assist with promotions, in-store demos, and sample distribution where relevant.
- Respond to customer questions about products and features.
- Carry out basic stock verification and support inventory-related checks.
- Share customer comments and feedback with the team.
- Work with colleagues to contribute toward sales goals and overall store performance.
Skills and Qualifications
The role calls for a good grasp of the products being sold, especially items in the food and beverage category. Strong retail selling ability, a basic understanding of sales methods, and the capability to work toward targets are important. Clear verbal communication, dependable customer handling, and a service-oriented attitude are also essential. Applicants should be comfortable with simple arithmetic for cash handling and billing, and should pay attention to detail during transactions and stock checks. The job may require standing for long periods and working during busy store hours, including weekends or holidays when needed.
Eligibility
Candidates with prior exposure to retail, food and beverage, or sales work are preferred, though this is not compulsory. A minimum of a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is expected. Additional learning or training in sales or hospitality will be considered an advantage.
Additional Information
This role is based on-site in Nagpur and follows a full-time work arrangement. Flexible shifts may be needed depending on store operations.
