Job Overview

Chanakya Restaurant is seeking a courteous and efficient Restaurant Cashier to join our team in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. This role involves handling customer transactions, managing cash operations, and supporting the kitchen and service teams to maintain exceptional guest service standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and provide professional service at the point of sale.
• Accurately take and input customer orders with efficiency.
• Manage payment processing including cash, credit cards, and digital methods.
• Provide customers with receipts, refunds, and correct change as needed.
• Ensure the cash drawer is precise and balanced after each shift.
• Offer information and answer queries about menu offerings, pricing, and current deals.
• Collaborate with kitchen and floor staff to guarantee prompt preparation and delivery of orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the cashier workstation, ensuring all necessary materials are available.
• Address customer complaints tactfully, aiming to resolve issues satisfactorily.
• Adhere strictly to company policies, food safety protocols, and cash handling guidelines.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Strong communication skills to interact courteously with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to manage transactions accurately and maintain cash accountability.
• Competent in using point-of-sale systems and handling different payment types.
• Good organizational skills to keep the workspace tidy and stocked.
• Capable of resolving customer concerns professionally.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and company policies relevant to cashier operations.

Compensation & Other Details

This is a full-time in-person position based in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. The monthly salary ranges from 20000 to 22000 INR.
