Role Summary
The Residential Services Manager acts as the Person in Charge of two designated residential centers, overseeing daily operational delivery of services. This role ensures compliance with HIQA regulations and relevant legislation, including Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults 2014 and Trust in Care 2005. The position involves leadership and management of the service team and working closely with the Integrated Service Manager (ISM) to maintain high quality, responsive care and stakeholder relationships. The combined role includes a 15.6-hour Residential Service Manager contract and a 23.4-hour Team Leader contract, totaling 39 hours per week, covering the West and North West regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure services meet the needs and preferences of supported individuals, promoting active engagement and handling complaints effectively.
- Foster a culture of continual improvement by integrating national and international best practices through collaboration.
- Lead operational staff to embed robust people management, encourage teamwork, nurture emerging talent, and maintain a culture of performance management in coordination with the ISM.
- Prioritize quality and safety in service provision, ensuring adherence to all internal and external quality and registration standards, including cooperation with Quality and Governance departments.
- Manage stakeholder relationships in collaboration with ISM.
- Safeguard and protect all residents within the service.
- Implement an integrated service delivery approach across the group’s network services.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant third-level qualification (NFQ Level 7) in Health and Social Care Management or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years’ managerial or supervisory experience in health or social care sectors.
- Proven familiarity and operational knowledge of HIQA regulations and other applicable legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Valid full, clean driving license.
- Adaptable to varied working hours and travel requirements to fulfill operational needs.
- Proactive, able to respond effectively in challenging situations, including those with incomplete information.
- Willingness to undertake additional reasonable duties or projects as directed by ISM.
Compensation and Benefits
- Residential Services Manager salary: from 0,678 to 0,898 monthly (annual 0,728 to 0,847 pro rata), based on experience and qualifications.
- Team Leader salary: from 0,658 to 0,745 monthly (annual 0,871 to 0,688 pro rata), based on experience and qualifications.
