Position Overview
We are searching for a dedicated individual who embodies our core values and is enthusiastic about impacting others' lives positively. The role of Residential Advisor involves supervising dormitory residents at Job Corps, ensuring a secure, supportive atmosphere while guiding trainees aged 16-24 through their daily routines and progress towards their performance objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise dormitory operations in compliance with center policies, maintaining safety and order throughout the shift.
- Implement behavior management strategies and uphold consistent core values to foster a positive environment.
- Monitor resident compliance with rules and maintain complete accountability and detailed logbook records of all notable occurrences.
- Assist students in acclimating to residential life by offering mentorship, guidance, and behavior modification support.
- Document student progress and related data accurately in official records according to established protocols.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Preferred two years of experience in counseling, education, social work, rehabilitation, or vocational guidance-related fields.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred.
- Must pass a drug screening as per substance abuse and drug-free workplace regulations.
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
Work Schedule and Compensation
- Standard shifts include 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM or 11:30 PM to 8:30 AM.
- The position is compensated hourly at $17.20.
