Role Overview
We seek a meticulous and guest-focused Reservation Executive based in Mysuru who will be essential in managing room bookings with precision while enhancing revenue. As part of a vibrant hospitality team, you will engage with various departments, contributing to revenue management and guest relationship development in a dynamic setting.
Primary Duties
- Handle room reservation processing efficiently while ensuring all guest and booking details are precise.
- Operate hotel reservation and booking systems to keep occupancy records and room availability current.
- Implement revenue management strategies and upselling to boost room income and utilize occupancy effectively.
- Address guest enquiries promptly, resolving reservation issues with tact and empathy.
- Maintain corporate databases with up-to-date booking information for easy future reference.
- Review guest histories and special requests before preparing guest folios, providing tailored service to regulars and VIP visitors.
- Compile and analyze monthly reports on occupancy trends and reservation statistics to aid strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth reservation processes and uphold consistent service levels.
- Manage corporate account numbers and rates per company policies, monitoring business generated through corporate clients.
- Lead and direct reservation associates, offering guidance to maintain team productivity.
- Identify operational issues or opportunities affecting hotel interests and communicate them to management.
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned, adapting flexibly to evolving tasks with a problem-solving attitude.
Candidate Qualifications
- At least two years' experience in reservations, front office, guest services, or related hospitality roles.
- Fluency in English, with additional language skills being an advantage.
- Proficiency in using hotel reservation systems, booking platforms, and property management software.
- Ability to multitask with accuracy in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, time management, and data entry skills.
- Excellent customer service abilities demonstrating professionalism and problem-solving aptitude.
- Knowledge of revenue management, occupancy forecasting, and upselling approaches.
- Analytical skills to interpret booking data and derive actionable insights.
- Team player capable of collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Dedicated to customer service with empathy and commitment to positive guest experiences.
- Experience in supervising and mentoring team members with clear communication.
