Role overview
We are hiring a meticulous remote data entry professional to support a distributed team. This is a fully remote full-time role with flexible hours, and you may work from anywhere within your region. The position focuses on keeping records accurate, handling information efficiently, and preserving data quality across multiple systems and digital tools.
In this role, you will contribute to day-to-day business operations by entering, checking, and organizing information used by different departments. Success in this position depends on strong precision, consistency, and the ability to work independently on structured, repetitive tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Input high volumes of data into internal databases, spreadsheets, and administrative systems.
- Convert information from digital files and document-based sources into usable records.
- Keep existing records updated so information stays current and correct.
- Manage well-organized digital filing structures to make retrieval quick and efficient.
- Review entered data before submission to ensure accuracy.
- Detect and fix mismatches, errors, or inconsistencies within datasets.
- Carry out regular quality checks to support reliable database performance.
- Apply required formatting and documentation standards to all records.
- Handle customer files, inventory information, financial entries, and administrative documents as needed.
- Use spreadsheets, CRM tools, and other data entry applications to complete assigned work.
- Prepare reports or summaries for management when requested.
- Maintain structured datasets that support analysis and operational reporting.
- Treat sensitive information carefully and keep it confidential.
- Follow internal data protection, privacy, and security guidelines.
- Store and manage records securely while maintaining high accuracy.
Requirements
- Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute with at least 98% accuracy.
- Comfort using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or comparable spreadsheet software.
- Exposure to database systems or CRM platforms.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to stay productive while working independently in a remote setup.
- Sharp attention to detail and a strong focus on data correctness.
- Good communication skills for coordination with remote teammates.
- Basic understanding of privacy, confidentiality, and safe data handling.
- Experience with cloud collaboration tools is an added advantage.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection.
