About the Role
You will serve as a vital team member of the pharmacy, supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals across multiple locations within a specified area. Your primary role involves safely and accurately dispensing medication and delivering pharmacy and healthcare services to customers.
Key Duties
- Dispense prescriptions accurately including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and managing prescription collections while ensuring medication safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members in stores to support optimal delivery and management of pharmacy services.
- Offer informed advice and care to patients regarding their medicines, escalating queries to pharmacists as necessary.
- Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee legal and safe dispensing practices.
- Stay updated on innovations and comply with operational standards in the store environment.
- Assist patients in managing prescriptions reliably, promoting medicine adherence, and minimizing waste.
- Maintain effective communication with store staff to ensure consistent patient care.
- Utilize evolving in-store technologies designed to improve dispensing processes and patient safety.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must have completed an NVQ2 Pharmacy Advisor qualification or its equivalent.
- Willing and able to travel flexibly within the designated geographical area.
- Hold a current and valid UK right to work; sponsorship is not provided for this role.
Experience in community pharmacy is an advantage.
