About the Company

G’day Group is a major Australian tourism operator made up of Discovery Parks, G’day Parks and the G’day Rewards loyalty program. The business employs more than 2,200 people nationwide and operates a broad network of over 300 holiday parks, including 85 parks and resorts that are fully owned and managed. As the country’s largest park network, the organisation focuses on delivering genuine Australian holiday experiences and encouraging more people to explore Australia.

The company is in a period of growth and transformation, with a strong focus on improving customer experience through better technology. It welcomes millions of guests each year and manages places of national significance, with a commitment to responsible stewardship. With domestic and regional tourism continuing to grow, the business is building an adaptable, high-performance team to help create memorable holidays.

About the Role

The Regional General Manager will lead a varied portfolio of parks and is responsible for driving operational performance, commercial growth and long-term value across the region. This is a senior leadership position suited to someone who can turn strategy into practical action, spot opportunities for improvement and work closely with teams across the wider business.

Reporting to the Executive General Manager, this role owns the regional portfolio’s results, operational effectiveness and value growth. You will provide leadership to park teams while partnering with stakeholders in Operations, Finance, People & Culture, Marketing, Revenue, Investments and Development. With full regional P&L responsibility, you will help lift commercial performance, improve asset outcomes and support investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the regional strategy and deliver strong financial, operational and guest experience outcomes across the portfolio.
  • Spot and pursue growth opportunities through market insight, commercial initiatives, partnerships and development activity.
  • Improve regional value by lifting operational results, growing revenue and strengthening asset performance.
  • Contribute to decisions on capital priorities, master planning, acquisitions and development opportunities.
  • Develop high-performing leadership teams through coaching, accountability and capability building.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to improve commercial results and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure parks consistently meet brand, asset and guest-experience standards.
  • Build effective relationships with councils, tourism organisations, community groups and other regional stakeholders.

About You

You should bring proven experience leading multi-site or regional operations in tourism, hospitality, accommodation, retail or another similar customer-focused sector. Strong strategic thinking is essential, along with the ability to convert business direction into clear operational results.

You will also need a track record of improving financial performance, growing revenue and driving operational change, as well as experience managing regional or multi-site P&L outcomes. A people-focused leadership style, strong coaching ability, excellent influencing skills and sound commercial judgment are also important.

Benefits

  • Health and wellbeing support, including flexible and hybrid working arrangements, an Employee Assistance Program, discounted private health cover, BeWell training, weekly yoga and walking groups, and free annual flu vaccinations.
  • Paid leave options such as parental leave, volunteer leave and study leave.
  • Professional development support, including leadership programs, external training support and reimbursement of professional association membership fees.
  • Employee savings and rewards such as discounted accommodation and experience rates, salary packaging, partner discounts, free G’day Rewards membership and loyalty recognition benefits.

ESG and Workplace Commitment

The organisation recognises the growing importance of environmental, social and governance considerations in everyday operations and decision-making. Its five-year ESG approach supports a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace, contribution to local communities and protection of the environment.

Conditions of Employment
