Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Reconciliation Officer to join our team remotely from Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. This role is vital for ensuring that our bank balances accurately reflect internal records and that discrepancies are promptly identified and resolved.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and internal accounts.
• Process and review transactions related to agent e-float purchases and partner wallet funding.
• Examine each transaction methodically, verifying amounts and flagging any inconsistencies for investigation.
• Associate bank transactions with corresponding agent IDs for thorough record keeping.
• Maintain records of daily and monthly bank fees.
• Investigate any discrepancies or variations in balances, determining their source.
• Support the Reconciliation Manager with project implementation and ad hoc assignments.

Candidate Requirements

• Fluency in both English and French.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience performing similar finance or reconciliation duties.
• Solid foundation in accounting principles and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with technology tools such as Google Sheets and Excel.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain numerical accuracy.

• Location: Position based in Kinshasa with no travel required.
• Work authorization in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is mandatory.
