Role Purpose

The Reach Forklift Driver is entrusted with the safe, efficient, and precise handling of secondary packaging such as crates and boxes. This position ensures smooth goods incoming procedures, coordinates with national transport, facilitates timely vehicle unloading, and guarantees pallets are correctly positioned within designated storage areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage incoming secondary packaging by verifying delivery documentation and inspecting items to ensure completeness and good condition.
• Safely perform truck tipping on arrival, adhering to site protocols and working alongside drivers for effective turnaround.
• Operate forklift to move pallets from unloading zones to specified storage spots according to warehouse layout plans.
• Accurately place pallets on racks or floor locations, updating inventory systems as needed.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely in line with site and regulatory standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in goods-inwards and storage zones to ensure a hazard-free environment.
• Comply with all health and safety procedures, report any hazards, and participate actively in safety trainings and briefings.
• Assist the packaging team with stock control and stock holding management.

Required Skills and Experience

• Certified and skilled in operating Reach and Counterbalance forklifts with a strong health and safety record.
• Willingness and flexibility to work various shift patterns as needed.
• Competent in basic English for effective communication.
• Quick learner with openness to feedback for continuous development.
• Motivated with enthusiasm and strong commitment to the role.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Strong dedication to performing work safely and responsibly.
• Good numeracy skills to assist with operational planning.
• Consistent track record of good attendance and punctuality.
• Positive disciplinary history and adherence to company policies.
• Excellent compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Must have personal transport to commute to the St Margaret's site.
