Quantity Surveyor

Job Overview

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support tender preparation and manage quantity surveying activities on site. Key responsibilities include preparing invitations for quotations, verifying quantity measurements, negotiating quotations, and consolidating tender pricing documents. You will assist project teams by handling contractual correspondence with the Project Manager, submitting claim notices promptly as per contract timelines, and preparing and tracking payment applications to ensure timely certification and payments. You will also be involved in preparing work orders and payments for sub-contractors and finalizing their accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare tender documents including invitations to quote and pricing compilations.
• Manage on-site quantity surveying tasks such as contractual correspondence, claims submissions, and payment applications.
• Follow up on payment applications to secure prompt certification and payments.
• Prepare and settle sub-contractor work orders and accounts.
• Compile monthly sales figures for Project Manager approval and report sub-contractor liabilities.
• Measure works accurately and to the fullest extent allowed.
• Notify insurance claims promptly and submit necessary claim details on time.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Degree holder in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
• At least 2 years of relevant quantity surveying experience.
• Prior experience with LTA (Land Transport Authority) major projects preferred.
• Self-driven with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

• Work schedule: 5.5 days per week.
• Work location: On-site at project location.
