Role Overview

As a Quantity Surveyor Intern, you will report directly to the Senior Quantity Surveyor while supporting Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors in monitoring and reporting the financial aspects of allocated contracts.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Commercial team and Project Managers to ensure comprehensive contractual administration throughout project lifecycles.
• Assist in preparing cashflow forecasts and compile reports on projects' financial performance.
• Support the Commercial team in drafting monthly interim valuations to be submitted to clients.
• Help the site management team handle subcontract packages, including preparing tender invitations and final account statements.
• Ensure precise and timely contract administration, such as creating Early Warning Notices.
• Contribute to cashflow administration by updating client payment trackers and identifying any deductions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Currently enrolled in a Quantity Surveying or related degree course.
• Must plan to return to college or university after completing this structured placement (not a graduate role).
• Strong academic performance with a keen interest in building practical engineering skills on-site.
• Eager to learn and apply engineering knowledge in actual project settings.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate in a professional team environment.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to work on-site and adapt to evolving project demands.
• Dedication to upholding high standards in Health, Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability practices.
