Quality Technician

About the Role

At ABB, we contribute to creating cleaner, more efficient industries. As a Quality Technician reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a vital part in supporting the Quality team by implementing and maintaining quality systems. Your responsibilities include performing audits, setting up controls, delivering training on quality tools and methods, and actively supporting quality management within the organizational unit. Daily tasks involve reporting on quality KPIs and customer cases, as well as ensuring all process documentation is up to date.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with all tasks related to maintaining the quality management system locally.
• Execute and help deploy quality content, tools, and systems within the organization.
• Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, Warehouse, and Supply Chain to support quality assurance activities.
• Report quality issues and data to ensure compliance with the quality management system throughout all stages.
• Collect and submit quality metrics and Key Performance Indicators promptly to aid in local process analysis and management.
• Utilize measurement systems to generate accurate data representing materials, products, systems, and processes.
• Perform assigned duties safely and encourage others to maintain safety standards daily.
• Provide feedback to functional teams based on customer insights to align process outcomes with expectations.
• Carry out additional quality management related assignments as directed by the Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or Industrial Manufacturing.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in quality control and assurance.
• Proficient in quality inspections, operating measuring equipment, and maintaining inspection records.
• Solid understanding of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Strong passion for problem-solving, teamwork, and continuous process improvement.
• High attention to detail and excellent communication abilities.
• Organizational skills enabling effective independent and team-based work.
