Job Summary

This role represents the quality function within technical support related to manufacturing issues on global customer accounts. The Quality Engineer III serves as the key liaison between Jabil and its suppliers or customers concerning global quality concerns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage quality assurance plans and schedules for global new product launches using Advanced Product Quality Planning and customer-specific process optimization techniques.
  • Assist quoting efforts by engaging in the initial design, development, and rollout of manufacturing processes.
  • Assess and provide feedback on inspection procedures, including inspection aids and guidelines.
  • Support global customer-specific training programs by creating and delivering specialized instructional sessions for relevant teams.
  • Establish efficient systems for documentation storage, retrieval, and review linked to global customer accounts.
  • Analyze and monitor supplier, internal, and customer quality discrepancies, coordinating corrective and preventive actions and tracking their effectiveness.
  • Periodically review and maintain quality documentation files, ensuring appropriate storage and access.
  • Participate in vendor survey processes and promote proactive supplier engagement to enhance process improvements.
  • Liaise with multiple departments ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to process improvement and optimization initiatives focused on proactive quality methodologies.
  • Help standardize manufacturing processes across global customer accounts.
  • Provide technical support on quality issues directly to customers as necessary.
  • Follow all safety and health regulations pertinent to the position as directed by supervisors.
  • Comply fully with company security policies and protocols.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • A minimum of five years relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
