Quality Engineer

Overview

The Senior Quality Engineer is tasked with safeguarding the quality of all product stages including raw materials, fabricated parts, machined components, assemblies, and the final rice milling equipment. This position ensures adherence to quality benchmarks, performs various inspections, analyzes defects, enforces corrective and preventive actions, and promotes ongoing process enhancement in line with ISO standards and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Define and uphold quality parameters for materials and manufacturing processes.
• Conduct thorough inspections at each production stage to detect defects.
• Implement corrective and preventive measures to mitigate quality issues.
• Drive continuous improvements in quality control methods and procedures.
• Ensure all activities comply with ISO 9001 norms and specified customer standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
• Six to ten years of experience in quality engineering roles.
• Solid expertise in fabrication, machining, welding inspections, and assembly quality assurance.
• Competent in interpreting engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.
• Experienced with key quality tools such as Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plans, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and 8D problem-solving methodology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
• Excellent communication and leadership qualities.
