Role Overview
We are hiring a meticulous Quality Data Analyst to work remotely, preferably based in Wisconsin or Minnesota. Reporting to the Quality Systems Manager, this position blends food safety, data analytics, and AI technologies. The successful applicant will convert raw data from production and quality operations into practical insights to protect our brand and boost product standards. Working closely with co-manufacturers, Operations, Product Development, and FSQA Leadership, the analyst will lead initiatives for ongoing improvement. Expertise in data interpretation, AI, and statistical modeling is crucial for identifying defects, ensuring compliance, and supporting quality programs. This role offers a unique chance to develop deep knowledge in cottage cheese production and quality management while championing healthier dairy products.
Responsibilities
- Drive continuous improvement by turning quality data into actionable insights accessible to all team members.
- Use AI, machine learning, and statistical models to analyze defect trends and preemptively address issues.
- Track production data to guarantee conformity with specifications, regulations, and critical control points.
- Create and maintain recurring reports for leadership, operations, procurement, finance, and executive teams.
- Organize and lead FSQA meetings, managing agendas, progress communication, and stakeholder alignment.
- Monitor supplier performance and contribute to developing supplier scorecards.
- Assist with audits and manage quality documentation to uphold regulatory compliance.
- Help develop and implement food safety and quality assurance initiatives.
- Gain expertise in cottage cheese production and quality to predict and mitigate challenges.
- Leverage data analysis to improve product quality, safety, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups to promote continuous improvement and innovation.
- Experiment with AI tools and workflows for enhanced quality data analysis and reporting.
- Support company efforts to protect and grow the brand through excellence in quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Business, Statistics, or related disciplines.
- 0 to 2 years’ experience in technology services, food safety, or quality assurance preferred.
- Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical mind and critical thinking capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within teams.
- Preferred experience with Python, large language models, command-line interfaces, or APIs.
- Familiarity with AI workflows and prompt engineering is advantageous.
- Prior exposure to the food industry or co-manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as HACCP, PCQI, or SQF Practitioner are desirable.
- Knowledge of statistical techniques and process improvement methods.
