Quality Control Technician

Position Overview

The Quality Control Technician plays a vital role in monitoring and testing products throughout various stages of the manufacturing process to ensure conformity with established quality standards and specifications. This position is key to maintaining consistent product quality across production and fabrication workflows.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections and testing on products at different phases, including electrical cable tray installation, electrical and signal cable installation, lighting and small power installation, and grounding & bonding installation.
• Accurately document inspection findings and preserve comprehensive quality records.
• Detect and report any quality defects or deviations from standards.
• Perform incoming inspections of materials or components.
• Ensure calibration and upkeep of testing instruments and equipment.
• Contribute to continuous process and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively with production teams to address and resolve quality concerns.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned periodically.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum two years of experience in a related quality control technician capacity.
• Proficiency in English at approximately 90% level.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with measurement tools and various testing devices.
• Familiarity with quality control methodologies and procedures.
• Experience with equipment such as Switchgear, UPS, CRAC units, STS, or busbar systems considered advantageous.
• Possess a positive attitude, autonomy, and proactive work approach.
• Demonstrated capability to complete tasks within designated timelines.
• Basic computer literacy including handling emails, collaboration software, Excel, Word, and file management.

Physical and Environmental Conditions

• Frequent standing and movement within the manufacturing setting.
• Working amidst machinery and production equipment.
• Use of protective gear such as safety shoes, eyewear, earplugs, gloves, etc., as required.
