Quality Assurance Engineer

Overview

Afriex is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to assure that software products consistently meet top quality standards prior to their public release. This role focuses on thoroughly testing applications, identifying and documenting bugs, validating corrective actions, and collaborating closely with engineering and product teams to deliver dependable, secure, and user-friendly solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, cases, and scenarios for APIs, web, and mobile platforms.
• Detect, record, manage, and confirm resolution of software defects.
• Conduct various testing phases including functional, regression, integration, and usability testing.
• Work alongside developers and product managers to address and resolve issues ahead of product launch.
• Verify that software meets established quality, performance, and reliability criteria.
• Ensure readiness for releases by validating that all verification checks are completed.
• Drive continuous enhancement of QA methodologies, testing procedures, and overall software quality.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven background in software quality assurance and testing disciplines.
• Solid grasp of both manual and automated software testing techniques.
• Competence in identifying problems, conducting root cause analyses, and effectively communicating insights.
• Experience with bug tracking and test case management systems.
• Keen attention to detail and a dedication to delivering high-quality outputs.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented working environment.
• Between 3 to 4 years of relevant professional experience.
