About the Role and Company

This position invites applicants for a QA/QC Engineer role based in Doha, Qatar, supporting a major Oil & Gas client.
Job Purpose
The QA/QC Engineer will oversee quality assurance and control activities during detailed engineering, procurement, and construction stages of projects. The role involves thorough review of EPC deliverables and management of third-party source inspections to ensure compliance with project standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage quality processes across engineering, procurement, construction, and installation phases.
- Review project deliverables from EPC contractors comprehensively.
- Coordinate third-party inspection activities to maintain project integrity.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline is mandatory.
- At least 10 years of professional experience as a QA/QC Engineer in Oil & Gas projects.
- Prior exposure to LNG projects is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in design, manufacturing, and testing of valves including DBB Valves, Motor Operated Valves (MOVs), Shutdown Valves (SDVs), actuators, and gearboxes.
- Experience working on both onshore and offshore projects as well as in-service modifications of existing facilities.
Certifications
- Certified CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification required.
- NDT Level II certification with valid credentials in Radiographic Testing (RT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
- ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor accreditation (IRCA or equivalent) with extensive experience in conducting QMS audits and QA verification programs across multiple project phases.
- Valid OPITO-approved safety certifications such as TBOSIET, H2S, Breathing Apparatus, and a current Offshore Medical Certificate.
