Python DevOps Engineer

Overview

BMW Techworks India, Pune is looking for a Junior Python DevOps Engineer to join their team. Candidates with up to two years of experience in Python programming, automation, and cloud-focused DevOps approaches are encouraged to apply. The role involves creating automation scripts, handling continuous integration and deployment pipelines, supporting cloud infrastructure, and maintaining application stability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and update Python scripts to automate operational tasks.
• Create, oversee, and enhance CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Deploy and manage applications across cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for container management and orchestration.
• Track system performance, diagnose issues, and maintain high availability.
• Coordinate with development and operations teams to streamline deployment workflows.
• Apply infrastructure-as-code principles using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent tools.

Required Skills and Experience

• Up to two years of hands-on experience in Python development combined with practical DevOps knowledge.
• Proficient with Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
• Experience using version control systems like Git, and CI/CD tools alongside Docker and Kubernetes.
• Acquainted with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiar with monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
• Strong analytical skills coupled with effective communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in infrastructure automation with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Knowledge of Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
• Possession of relevant certifications in cloud technologies or DevOps is beneficial.

Eligibility

Candidates should hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in any engineering specialization.
