Overview
The Public Relations Officer will act as the primary liaison between the company and various UAE government bodies and regulatory authorities. This role involves managing government relations, coordinating PRO services, and ensuring corporate compliance with local laws and procedures.
Key Duties
- Serve as the company's point of contact for government entities including MOHRE, ICP, TAMM, GDRFA, and Abu Dhabi Chamber to handle all official matters.
- Oversee processing and monitoring of employment and residence visas, Emirates IDs, labor permits, and visa status changes including renewals and cancellations, maintaining adherence to UAE immigration and labor laws.
- Keep detailed records of visa validity, company registrations, and government approvals to mitigate any compliance risks or penalties.
- Manage all corporate administrative responsibilities, including renewing and updating company licenses, Establishment Cards, and Chamber memberships, as well as facilitating document attestation, legalization, notarization, and other official government procedures.
- Support employee and travel arrangements by assisting with GCC business visa applications for countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and Bahrain.
- Handle logistical coordination including vehicle registrations, insurance, renewals, traffic matters, and assisting with project mobilization and site access requirements, including client and industrial zone passes.
- Maintain effective coordination with local service providers, vendors, and governmental representatives to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five years' experience working within the UAE in PRO, government relations, or administration roles.
- Extensive knowledge of UAE labor law, immigration regulations, and expertise using government platforms like MOHRE, ICP, TAMM, and GDRFA.
- Prior experience in sectors such as engineering, construction, oil & gas, EPC, or industrial fields is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with ADNOC-related administrative procedures is an added advantage.
- Exceptional communication, coordination, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Languages
- Fluent proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
- Proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Chinese language is advantageous but not mandatory.
