Role Summary
We are looking for a Project Manager who excels in client-facing consulting environments and takes end-to-end ownership of project delivery, including stakeholder coordination and successful outcomes across Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementations. This role involves independent management of project scope and timelines, steering execution across cross-functional, global teams, and forging trusted partnerships with clients and internal collaborators. The ideal candidate balances rigorous delivery discipline, consulting acumen, flexibility, and aligns culturally with our fast-paced, collaborative, and ownership-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full accountability for WMS implementation projects from initiation through go-live and post-launch stabilization.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, resource allocation, budgets, and milestones.
- Act as the central client liaison, ensuring transparent communication, alignment, and consistent expectation management throughout the project.
- Proactively handle project scope adjustments, dependencies, risks, and change requests to secure project success.
- Lead project governance activities, including reporting status, managing issues and escalations, and engaging executive stakeholders.
- Mobilize and sustain execution momentum and accountability among all stakeholders to meet deliverables timely and within scope.
- Facilitate workshops and sessions for requirements gathering, design, implementation planning, and milestone reviews in collaboration with technical and functional teams.
- Identify and mitigate risks, manage interdependencies, and oversee change management processes throughout delivery phases.
- Ensure adherence to delivery standards, methodologies, and quality benchmarks across all stages.
- Support go-live preparations and activities including cutover coordination and post-launch support (hypercare).
- Travel to client locations as necessary for workshops, key phases, and go-live events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, IT, or related fields.
- 5 to 10 years of project management experience, preferably within supply chain or enterprise software implementation contexts.
- Experience implementing Warehouse Management Systems such as Blue Yonder, JDA, Manhattan, or equivalents is highly preferred.
- Proven track record handling entire project lifecycles in a consultant-facing role.
- Strong familiarity with system implementation frameworks like Agile, Waterfall, or hybrids.
- Expertise managing cross-functional, technical and functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with project management tools is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities, including at executive levels.
- Willingness and ability to travel as project demands dictate.
- Strong organizational skills capable of juggling competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Communication Language
- Fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of French or Spanish is advantageous but not mandatory.
Essential Attributes
- Confident consulting presence with high client-facing professionalism.
- Decisive and comfortable managing ambiguity and changing project landscapes.
- Strong ownership and accountability for client satisfaction and successful delivery.
- Effective problem-solving and calm decision-making under pressure.
- Keen attention to detail and quality-driven execution.
- Clear, effective communication capable of simplifying complex issues for diverse audiences.
- Proactive with a results-oriented mindset focused on client success.
- Collaborative leadership that fosters team alignment across diverse global groups.
