This well-established consultancy is known for successfully delivering a wide variety of projects including Commercial, Education, Aged Care, Healthcare, Master Planned Communities, and Fitouts. The firm maintains a strong project pipeline and continues to flourish in the industry.

Role Overview

The Project Manager will be engaged from the early stages of project planning through to final completion, acting in the interests of diverse clients across multiple sectors. This includes overseeing all phases of the construction project lifecycle with a strong focus on client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all activities related to projects through their entire lifecycle
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
• Handle procurement and contract management duties
• Conduct programme and cost management
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships
• Participate in design management during the consent process
• Supervise external consultants, ensuring best practices and construction delivery standards are met

Candidate Requirements

• At least 5 years of New Zealand-based commercial construction experience within a Project Management Consultancy focused on vertical construction
• Experience in Commercial, Education, Aged Care, Healthcare, Master Planned Communities, or Fitout sectors is preferred
• Exceptional communication skills with proven ability in collaboration and leading negotiations across multiple stakeholders
• Established history of managing projects through full lifecycles
• In-depth knowledge of New Zealand Building Standards and the tendering process
