Role Overview
The Project Management Director will serve in a full-time, remote capacity, spearheading complex projects across the school district aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness, service delivery, and educational success. This senior position involves comprehensive oversight of project planning, scheduling, execution, and budget management to ensure delivery adheres to intended timelines and scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate diverse cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Define clear project objectives and establish measurable success criteria.
- Continuously monitor and manage risks and issues to mitigate impact.
- Prepare and maintain thorough documentation and progress reports.
- Ensure alignment of projects with the overall district strategy and priorities.
- Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders including district leaders, school staff, and external collaborators.
- Drive process improvements to increase operational efficiency and consistency.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies encompassing planning, scheduling, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in program management, capable of overseeing multiple interrelated projects aligned with strategic objectives.
- Experience managing budgets within public sector contexts, including development, tracking, and optimization.
- Strong leadership skills to guide and unify remote, cross-functional teams fostering collaboration and consensus.
- Ability to analyze existing workflows and implement sustainable process enhancements.
- Relevant professional experience within education or public sector organizations is advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication competencies.
- Familiarity with contemporary project management software and collaborative tools.
- Educational background preferably includes a bachelor's degree in Business, Educational Administration, Project Management, or related disciplines; possession of certifications such as PMP or equivalent is a plus.
