Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Project Director to spearhead the planning, execution, and successful completion of hyperscale data center projects located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This strategic position entails overseeing all facets of complex, large-scale infrastructure developments from conception through to handover. The ideal leader will guide cross-disciplinary teams, manage vendor relationships, and ensure adherence to schedule, budget, and quality benchmarks for mission-critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive project delivery for hyperscale data center construction, ensuring alignment with organizational targets and timelines.
• Create and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress using KPIs and applying corrective measures as necessary.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to multidisciplinary teams comprising engineers, contractors, and technical specialists, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Oversee procurement and vendor management to guarantee quality deliverables and cost-effective project execution.
• Identify and mitigate project risks through proactive contingency planning.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations and international data center standards by coordinating with regulatory and compliance units.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders via executive briefings, progress updates, and issue escalations.
• Manage quality assurance and testing procedures to confirm infrastructure meets technical and operational standards.
• Maintain thorough project documentation including change management and lessons learned to promote continuous improvement.
• Analyze project metrics and recommend strategic improvements for forthcoming initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over 20 years of project management experience with at least 7 years dedicated to large-scale data center initiatives.
• Demonstrated expertise in design, construction, and deployment of hyperscale data centers.
• In-depth understanding of data center operations, architecture, and technical infrastructure.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in guiding and motivating high-performance teams.
• Exceptional organizational capabilities and effective time management, adept at juggling multiple priorities.
• Proven experience in risk management, compliance, and regulatory frameworks within the data center or infrastructure sectors.
• Preferred credentials include Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
• Experience working on projects in the Middle East region is advantageous.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and emerging technologies within the data center industry is desirable.
