Overview
The Project Coordinator role in civil engineering involves supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of construction projects. This position requires effective liaison among site teams, contractors, vendors, clients, and management to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Primary Duties
- Coordinate daily operations at construction sites.
- Track project progression and maintain schedules.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, contractors, architects, and clients.
- Compile project documentation including progress and management information system reports.
- Monitor material needs and manage inventory.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Manage documentation, billing processes, and approvals.
- Assist with project planning and resource management.
- Conduct site inspections to review work status.
- Follow up to meet deadlines and complete pending tasks.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Civil Engineering.
- Solid understanding of civil construction methods and processes.
- Competence in project planning and coordination.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Familiarity with software tools such as AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project, or Primavera.
- Ability to multitask and oversee diverse teams.
- Problem-solving aptitude and effective time management skills.
Additional Information
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
Monthly compensation ranges from 25000 to 40000 INR depending on experience and qualifications.
